Dancing Dionysus - Water Colour, December 2010

Dionysus at play. Another attempt at rendering with water colours. It can be tricky using water colours but I'm starting to get the hang of it. I wanted to give the effect that Dionysus is barely there and that he is made of a water-like substance which has set fire during his intoxication.

Ginga Comedian, Louis C.K. - Water Colour, December, 2010

I recently discovered Louis C.K. is not just a random actor but is actually a really hilarious stand-up comedian. My wife and I watched his specials and TV shows then got to see him live a few days ago in San Diego. I found this image online and made a water colour from it. I just wanted to make him as orange as possible. The photographer really caught Louie at the perfect moment because this is very typical of his self-criticizing humour.

This is one of the first proper water colours I've done for a while and it is also the first in a series called Anxiety. In this series I plan to render my anxieties as best I can.

Dancing River Spirits - Photography. PS

This is just something I did for fun. Further down in this blog are some pics of swirly lines in tree bark. I wanted to make something out of the lines so I just highlighted some paths with PhotoShop. It represents two figures made of flowing water which runs together. I think it would make a cool painting.

AV Supplies Logo Development - PS, IL

This is some work I did for an audio/visual distributor. I also set the client up with a custom Zen Cart store. I liked the way the logo was developing but the client mixed and matched elements they liked and we ended up with something a little different. So long as they are happy so I am I. I learned more about web design with this project and it is complicated stuff but not as intimidating as I had thought.
