Studio Tapu - New Bone Pendants

Some new bone carving I have made recently. The first one is actually made from Buffalo bone I picked up at a Native American market at Balboa Park. The texture is a little grainier in places but otherwise i think it is hard to tell the difference.

Dad's Garden (Hampden, New Zealand) - Photography

Taken at my Dad's place in Hampden, NZ during our February trip home.  In any place my Dad lives in he always creates a beautiful garden with all kinds of activity going on in them. I remember growing up and totally taking our gardens for granted but I did always think of them as a kind of sanctuary. The last three of the bumble bees are actually at my Mum's place in Kurow.

Hruby Woods - Photography - Mora Minnesota

From top to bottom:
1. Blue Bears - Edited with Photoshop - Hruby Woods, Mora, Minnesota
2. Green Growth - Hruby Woods, Mora, Minnesota
3. Green Growth 2 - Hruby Woods, Mora, Minnesota
4. Red Mite - Hruby Woods, Mora Minnesota
5. Used For Partrs - Edited with Photoshop - Mora, Minnesota

I was lured into the Hruby Woods by a pheasant-like creature and happened to have my camera handy then I got distracted by the strange growth on the sides of the trees (as in Blue Bears). I heard a Wood-pecker above me and tried to snap a couple shots of it before it noticed me and flew away. I travelled further into the woods looking for more birds but only found a strange red tree mite and some random rubbish. The photo of the wrecked car is by the path that goes around the out-skirts of Mora.

Medusa-Eared Bunnies, Pollutopia Vs. Nature - Ink/Acrylic/Found Objects

Two more framed prints from the Salvation Army Store. I picked them up and saw the tentacles coming out of their ears straight away. So that is what I painted (just the tentacles, I didn't paint the bunnies). I liked the idea that the Pollutopian infection is inside the bunnies' brains and spreads outwards breaking the circular mat/frame. I liked the idea of these guys a lot so don't be surprised if I do more.
